Sales Manager

RevelationData is looking to recruit a talented Sales Manager with a focus on New Business Acquisition, to take control and grow the sales function across the Western Cape and Gauteng Region. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Business Development Consultant to progress their career and join a leading ITSM company.

Job Outputs:
- Meet and exceed team targets
- Responsible for driving business development in the Western Cape Region
- Translate customer needs to requirements, manages requirements, turn them to solutions & support system solutions including scoping, cost planning, price structuring & risk management
- Develop key business relationships
- Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals.
- Maintain existing account with key customers and identify upsell opportunities
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Director of Sales in developing a comprehensive sales strategy for the Gauteng region
- Coordinates sales operations with all other departments/divisions of the Company
- Sales Forecasting and Financial Reporting
- Ensure the availability and performance of best practice sales systems and tools (CRM and Analytics), that will ensure an efficient sales process and relevant and accurate sales activity reporting.
Job Competencies:
- The sales manager must have previous business development experience within the tech sector
- The person will also act as 2IC to the Sales Director of the business and therefore operational management experience will be required
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic business development environment.
- Proven track record of developing effective strategies and customized proposals that win new business.
- Excellent oral, written communication, persuasion, diplomatic and interpersonal skills, experience in research, writing and delivering marketing proposals and presentations.
- Able to work in an environment where opportunities are uncovered, screened and selected if they fit in with the company’s overall strategy.
- Team-player, strong work ethics, ability to work with minimal supervision, result-orientated, flexible, patient and adaptable.
- Able to cultivate trust and credibility with peers and maintain strong working relationships at all levels.
- Represent the company at networking functions and other industry-related functions.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Education in an I.T or business related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a key account management or new business acquisition role
- In-depth knowledge of the ITSM and BPM space
- Sound experience in Selling ITSM and BPM solutions/ Networking Products preferably having knowledge of the SA market
